The game of the year was just that, the game of the year. Ohio State stood tall when it was all said and done, winning 42-39 in Columbus, and perhaps setting up one of the most ridiculous BCS scenarios in history. Both Antonio Pittman and Mikel Hart both rusked for over 140 yards for Ohio State and Michigan. Troy Smith solidified his Heisman candidacy by throwing for 316 yards and 4 touchdowns. Freshman phenom Chris Wells broke away for a 52 yards touchdown in the second quarter for his first big score.
The game had everything anyone wanted to have, well, except defense. Michigan remains #2 in this weeks BCS, and it is all up the air at this point. USC and Notre Dame have a big game this weekend, probably to determine who jumps an idle Michigan in next weeks BCS standings. Notre Dame handled Army as expected 41-9, and Brady tossed 3 touchdowns. USC pulled away from Cal 23-9, outscoring the Bears 14-0 in the 4th quarter.
Rutgers got handed their first defeat of the season at Cincinnati 30-11. It drops Rutgers to 9-1 on the year, and finally gives Cincy a win over a quality opponent, after several close calls this year.
Florida banged away at Western Carolina in a tune-up for Florida State 62-0. Arkansas defeated Miss State 28-14, placing them against Florida in the SEC Finals. The winner of that game will give a good case to the BCS for the title game shot. Barring an FSU upset of the Gators of course.
